The Turkish Coast Guard rescued more than 600 people who were trying to cross the Aegean Sea in inflatable boats over the past five days, including women and children who fled the ongoing war in Syria. The governor of the coastal Izmir province Office of Reuerz said that more than 400 out of 636 migrants who were rescued are from Syria.
It is noteworthy that Turkey is one of the most important transit points, especially the Palestinian and Syrian refugees fleeing from the furnace war in Syria, while immigrants go through land and sea ways in spite of the seriousness the roads.
