Residents of AlHusainiya Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rif Dimashq, railed against the increasing motor vehicle theft in the area.
Recently, a taxi owned by a Palestinian refugee was stolen by thieves. The taxi is the refugee’s sole livelihood.
Most of the stolen cars are of the SABA brand due to defects in the car lock. Motorcycles have also been stolen from the area.
A number of residents filed complaints at the local police station. But the investigations have been fruitless so far.
