Thabit Organization for the Right of Return expressed its strong dissatisfaction of the policy pursued by UNRWA for a long time; and by reducing the services provided to Palestinian refugees, and evasion of their responsibilities towards them, especially its recent decision against the Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon, and announcing the stoppage of all its aid, including shelter allowance, which amounts to ($ 100) for family and benefiting 12 thousand families, starting from July 2015.
The statement called UNRWA to rescind this decision immediately, to work hard to increase the assistance provided to Palestinian refugees from Syria in Lebanon, to provide all humanitarian services, and to provide them with legal protection in coordination with the Lebanese state authorities and the UN organizations similarly as to the Syrian refugees.
