The Fatah Central Committee appointed Samir AlRefai as the new Syria ambassador, replacing Mahmoud AlKhalidi who died of coronavirus in April.
AlRefai was sworn-in in the presence of Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
