Residents of Jaramana Camp for Palestinian refugees joined a march held in solidarity with the six Palestinians who managed to escape the Israeli Gilboa prison.
Over the past few days, Israeli authorities have launched a manhunt in search for the six Palestinian prisoners who escaped from one of the country’s most secure jails overnight.
The men dug a hole in the floor of their cell at Gilboa prison, then crawled through a cavity and tunnelled beneath the outer wall.
An Israel Prison Service official described the escape as “a major security and intelligence failure”. Palestinian resistance groups hailed it as “heroic”.
