Aedoun Group Discusses the Recent Procedures of UNRWA in Damascus with the Presence of UNRWA Director General

Damascus-based Aedoun Group held a discussion session that addressed the recent procedures of UNRWA, especially those related to the issue of financial aid distribution to Palestinian refugees in Syria.
For their part, the audience assured to the Director General of UNRWA in Syria, Mr. Michael Kingsley, that UNRWA’s recent actions are considered to be “humiliating and insulting to Palestinian refugees in Syria.”
For his part, Director-General of UNRWA expressed his rejection of calls demanding postponement or distribution cancellation, as well as he also refused to answer a question which demanded disclosure of the party that stands behind those actions, saying only that these actions related to the United Nations which is not confined only in Syria but applied in Lebanon and Jordan.
The meeting was attended by Director General of UNRWA in Syria, Mr. Michael Kingsley, Director General of the Arab Authority for Palestinian refugees, Mr. Ali Mustafa, and “34” character of various Palestinian compounds and camps in Damascus.
According to Aedoun group, the results of this meeting will appear during the next two days.
