The Action Group for Palestinians in Syria stated that 14 Palestinian refugees from Syria were killed during the month of September/December due to Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas in Lebanon, including 9 civilians and 5 belonging to the Islamic Jihad Movement. It noted that among the 14 victims who were killed in Lebanon last month, 6 were from the Nairab camp, three from the Sayyida Zainab camp, two refugees from the Yarmouk camp, two from the Khan Dannun camp, and one refugee from the Hussainiya camp.
The monitoring and documentation team in the working group clarified that among the civilian victims was an entire family consisting of six members, including two little girls: Mohamed Jalal Al-Mardhi, his wife Amal Al-Mardhi, their son Jalal, their daughters Riham and Malak, and their granddaughter Nahal. They were killed on September 29th due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted their home in the city of Sidon, southern Lebanon.
According to the monitoring team, they documented the data and names of three other civilians: Abdullah Hussein Ibrahim, Omar Zakaria Mustafa, and Hussein Sari, who were killed in the cities of Baalbek, Bekaa, and Beirut in Israeli airstrikes.
The Islamic Jihad Movement in Syria mourned five of its members who were killed on the Lebanese-Palestinian border: Muhammad Abdullah Al-Abdullah, Samir Mustafa Diab, Firas Ayman Shahabi, Hussein Musa Blawani, and Muayyad Ahmad Muhammad. The Action Group documented the deaths of 33 Palestinian refugees at the hands of Israeli forces in southern Lebanon during the recent escalation that has been ongoing since October 7, 2023.
