The Action Group – SyriaÂ
published the second batch of documents it called “Death Safes,” including 23 security documents issued by the Military Intelligence Division – Unit 215, and addressed to Harasta Military Hospital (Medical Services Department).
According to the newspaper, the documents reveal the fate of 69 detainees who died under torture, including 30 Palestinian refugees from Syria, as well as detainees of Syrian, Jordanian, Tunisian, and Russian nationalities.
Documents show that the bodies of the detainees were delivered to the hospital in batches, with explicit orders for their mass burial without informing the victims’ families, indicating a systematic policy of concealing the fate of the detainees.
This batch comes after the newspaper published a previous set of documents as part of what it describes as the disclosure of a “death archive” related to the file of detainees in Syria.
