According to the group’s director, Fayez Abu Eid, the event aims to mobilize public opinion and bring the voices of detainees and their families to the local community and human rights organizations by showcasing their faces and stories, in an effort to keep their suffering alive in the collective memory.
Abu Eid called on international organizations, media, and human rights institutions to support the detainees’ cause and raise awareness about the humanitarian conditions of their families, emphasizing that community engagement with such events constitutes a significant step toward achieving justice and breaking the wall of oblivion surrounding the Palestinian detainees in Syria.
