Khan Al-Sheih Camp: Warning to Residents – Two War Remnants Found in the Western Neighborhood

Rural Damascus | Action Group

Residents of Khan Al-Sheih Palestinian refugee camp in Rural Damascus have issued an urgent warning to locals in the western neighborhood after the discovery of two unidentified cluster bombs near garbage containers. The warning came following a report by one of the camp’s residents to the relevant authorities, stressing the seriousness of the situation.

Community leaders and activists in the camp have urged residents not to approach or tamper with the bombs, given the imminent and serious danger they pose to the lives of civilians. Public security has been notified to take the necessary measures and safely remove the explosives.

This incident once again highlights the ongoing risks civilians face in areas that previously witnessed military operations, underscoring the importance of constant vigilance and immediate reporting of any suspicious or unfamiliar objects to prevent potentially deadly accidents.

It is worth noting that a number of Palestinian refugees and Syrian citizens in various regions have been victims of landmine and unexploded ordnance explosions, some of which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of children and civilians. Large quantities of unexploded war remnants remain scattered across many areas of Syria.
