Damascus – The Action Group
Director, Fayez Abu Eid, visited the Chairman of the General Authority for Missing and Detainees, Mohammad Reda Jalkhi, for an important meeting during which they discussed the group’s efforts to document the violations against Palestinians in Syria since 2011.
Fayez Abu Eid highlighted the projects implemented by the group, stressing that documenting violations and repressive practices against Palestinians reflects the reality of their suffering and constitutes a reliable basis for demanding rights and justice.
He explained that the group has worked to collect evidence and proof pointing to violations throughout the years of conflict, with the aim of strengthening the humanitarian and legal role in this issue.
For his part, Mohammad Reda Jalkhi stressed the importance of cooperation with the Action Group for Palestinians in Syria, praising the vital role it plays in preserving the record of violations and protecting the rights of victims.
He indicated that the authority will work to strengthen support and assistance mechanisms, adding that preserving the rights of missing and detained Palestinians is a top priority under the current circumstances. Jalkhi expressed his hope to develop the partnership between the authority and the group to serve Palestinian citizens in Syria and enhance the resonance of their cause on the regional and international levels.
