Residents of Al Aedein Camp in Homs: Iron Fence Cut the Bonds of Family Relationships and Divided the Camp into Two Parts

Residents of Al Aedein camp in Homs suffer of difficulties and obstacles in communication with their  relatives after that the Syrian security set up an iron fence separates neighborhoods of the camp in Homs and the western side of the university campus and housing, and neighborhoods of Al Waleed, Ikrema, Wadi Al Thahabin the eastern region, starting from Al Sham road-Tadmor crossing till Al Timthal crossing at the bridge conjunction and Hadara Street without any service corridors between the two sides.
Residents became forced to go through the south across Tadmor crossing in order to return to Al Sham Road, which doubled transport costs especially on students and employees, and residents who have a review with UNRWA clinic and Bisan hospital.
The iron fence negatively impacted on shopkeepers in the eastern neighborhoods because they have lost all their clients from the western side.
In terms of the reasons of building such fence, our correspondent noted that the security reason is to ensure the protection of neighborhoods of the pro-regime eastern region.
