Palestinian Syrians in Turkey Suffer of Dire Living Conditions

Palestinian Syrian refugees, who fled the horrors of war to Turkey, suffer of a number of difficulties and obstacles which formed them harsh and difficult life, including the spread of unemployment, the difficulty of learning the Turkish language in order to communicate with the Turkish people, and the spread of employment after the migration of thousands of Syrian refugees to Turkey which reduced jobs.
Some employers take advantage of their workers by long working hours and a few wages that is not commensurate with the working hours, in addition to the requirement of residency before work, rising food prices, and rent houses.
A number of families live in warehouses and others live in shared residential compounds, while others live in shared tents in very bad conditions.
Within the latest figures of Palestinian Syrian refugees, according to unofficial and approximate statistics, the number is estimated with 3000-5000 people living in the three major provinces of “Istanbul,” “Gaziantep,” and “Hatay” or so-called “Antioch”.
