The Deterioration of Living Situation at Daraa Camp South of Syria

In Daraa Camp south of Syria, the living and health situations are still deteriorated due to the frequent bombing and clashes since the beginning of the ongoing war in Syria. The frequent bombing and clashes led to damage about 70% of the camp’s buildings, where the remaining refugees live in inhumane and dangerous situations manifested in the health and living sides.
In terms of health, there are no hospitals or medical center in the camp in addition to the lack of medicine and medical materials of the first aid, moreover, the unavailability of ambulances to carry the injured people to get treatment out of the camp. In case that one of the injured people succeeded to get out of the camp, Jordan refuses the entry of any Palestinian refugee from Syria even if he was an injured person. In front of that health reality, a number of activists inside the camp warned from the spread of diseases amongst the residents especially when they are obliged to sue the polluted drinking water due to the water cut since about 511 days.
In terms of living situation, the residents of Daraa camp suffer from the power cut for long periods in addition to the lack of fuel and the heating materials and losing food materials and the high prices of the remaining materials. It is worth to mention that the frequent bombing and the living situation obliged hundreds of Palestinian families from the camp to resort to the neighboring countries.
