(8) Palestinian families coming from Thailand arrived to Amsterdam the capital of Netherlands, based on the approval of the Netherlands authorities and the nomination by the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The families consist of 45 Palestinian refugees, mostly children; have fled the midst of the Syrian war to Thailand, where they have lived tragic and difficult situations. Members of the Palestinian house in Netherlands received them and accompany them through the procedures that were at the airport before being transferred to hotels where they will stay for several days.
It is noteworthy that thousands of Palestinian refugees fled Syria after being targeted and shelled towards European countries and across several countries, some of whom went to Turkey, Egypt, Libya, and Southeast Asia countries and other countries that which immigrants trying access to the European asylum. Meanwhile, some states are still detaining Palestinian refugees such as Thailand and Malaysia on charges of attempting to travel illegally.
