The Egyptian authorities continue to arrest “56” Palestinian refugees from Syria, after detaining them while trying to reach Italy from Turkish beaches in 25th of the last month.
The refugees were victims to a scam by smugglers who left them on an islands off the Egyptian shores, where Egyptian authorities arrested them, while the Egyptian security released all Syrians detainees and continue detention of “56” Palestinians, after all the surrounding countries refused to receive them.
The refugees’ choice was between deporting to Syria or staying in prison, so the refugees renewed their appeal to all human rights and international bodies to urgently and immediately intervene to release them and alleviate their suffering.
