Yesterday was the first anniversary of the horrific massacre that occurred in Al Muzeireeb Palestinian refugees’ compound in Daraa due to the bombing that targeted the town on 18th of February 2014 with explosive barrels and that targeted in Al Zaitoun UNRWA Schools well as its health clinic.
The school was targeted while the students were inside, which led to eighteen victims and dozens of wounded. It is referred that, Mr. Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Palestinian Delegation to Syria and Labor Minister in the Palestinian Authority, denied, during Commenting on the bombing of Al Muzeireeb compound by explosive barrels, that “there is no Palestinian compound in Mazirab town, and said that the only compound in Daraa is Daraa camp, while there are 11 compounds in Syria, not including Al Muzeireeb.”
The Muzeireeb town, which is located just a ten kilometers to the north-west of the city of Daraa south Syria, is inhabited with about 8500 Palestinian refugees mostly from northern Palestine, as they host hundreds of displaced families from Daraa camp, and there are four schools and a clinic for UNRWA.
