Palestinian child from Syria Kusay Jawad AlShehabi, aged ten, was nominated as the best midfield attacker in Kurdistan’s Sulaymaniyah province following a final contest held in the region.
Kusay’s family, formerly sheltered in Yarmouk Camp, expressed their deep pride of the achievement, which they said has come along despite the state of despair overwhelming the Palestinians of Syria as a result of the warfare and displacement.
