Palestinian refugee Mohamed Omar, aged 53, has been secretly locked up in Syrian government penitentiaries for over six years in a row.
The detainee was kidnapped by the Syrian security forces on July 18, 2013, near the Hums-based AlAydeen Camp, on his way to visit his relatives in the area.
A couple of months later, Omar was transferred from a security branch in Hums to Damascus. He was last met by a freed inmate in May 2014.
AGPS kept account of the secret incarceration of over 1,700 Palestinian refugees in Syrian government prisons, including dozens of women and elderly people.
