A boat Sank in the Greece Waters with 300 Immigrants.

A boat was carrying at least more than three hundred people sank yesterdayoff the Greek island of Rhodes in the Mediterranean. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has received a distress call by a person on board, where he assured the news of the death of twenty out of three hundred people were on board the boat.

In the meantime, the Greek Coast Guard rescued 83 people from the sea and returned back to retrieve the bodies of a man, a woman, and a child, after their boat collided with rocks near Ziveros area off the Dodecanese island of Rhodes.

This comes in conjunction with the European Union foreign ministers’ meeting yesterday in Luxemburg to discuss illegal immigration crisis to try to put solutions for illegal immigration, and to put a solution for the problem of refugees’ sinking.

The High Representative for the Foreign Security and Policy of the European Union “Federica Mgrena” said in a statement, “It is time to the EU to find solution to the tragedies of migrants who drowned trying to reach European shores.”

According to official Italian data, about 11 thousand migrants were rescued in the Mediterranean during almost a week, and about 1,600 migrants drowned in the Mediterranean since the beginning of this year.”
