{"id":89229,"date":"2021-11-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/12415\/"},"modified":"2021-11-05T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T21:00:00","slug":"12415","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/12415","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus-Related Death Reported in Hindarat Camp for Palestinian Refugees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Elderly Palestinian refugee Shaker AlSheikh Taha, displaced from AlNeirab to Hindrat Camp, in Aleppo, died of coronavirus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Over recent months, AGPS has warned of an unabated outbreak of COVID-19 in Palestinian refugee camps in Syria, where limited access to running water, pharmacies and medical facilities means displacement camps are more susceptible to the spread of the highly infectious virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Displacement camps set up in northern Syria are especially vulnerable as most hospitals and medical facilities have been bombed, rendering them out of order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">AGPS stresses the need to supply Palestinian refugee camps with oxygen cylinders and medicines in order to help the displaced communities defend themselves against the deadly COVID-19 virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">AGPS calls on the national and international humanitarian organizations and concerned authorities to set an emergency plan in order to help curtail the highly-contagious virus.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elderly Palestinian refugee Shaker AlSheikh Taha, displaced from AlNeirab to Hindrat Camp, in Aleppo, died of coronavirus.
