{"id":89303,"date":"2019-01-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-01-03T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/8125\/"},"modified":"2019-01-04T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-01-03T21:00:00","slug":"8125","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/8125","title":{"rendered":"Daraa Camp Enduring Severe Crises"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees has been grappling with abject conditions as a result of the fallouts wrought by the military operation launched by the Syrian government forces in mid-June 2018 using internationally-prohibited weapons in an attempt to recapture the area. 80% of civilian homes and property were destroyed.<\/div>\n<div>An acute shortage in medicines and much-needed items along with the government&#8217;s tough blockade on the camp have made life unbearable in the area.<\/div>\n<div>Soon after the Syrian government recaptured the camp, civilians appealed to the Palestinian Authority, Palestine Liberation Organization, and UNRWA to urgently step in and work on securing life-saving medicines and foodstuff urgently needed in the area.<\/div>\n<div>The residents further appealed for debris-clearance, reconstruction of ruined homes and facilities, and removal of trash piles.<\/div>\n<div>A number of Palestinian families returned to their homes in Daraa Camp in 2018, though no official decision has been issued by the Syrian government to that end.<\/div>\n<div>Sometime earlier, Daraa governor said, following a field visit he paid to the camp on October 30, 2018, that the camp will be included in a new plan devised by the Syrian authorities to rehabilitate recaptured zones.<\/div>\n<div>The governor also said that all shelters in Daraa will be shut and the residents will gain a safe access to their reconstructed towns, adding that another quarter will be built at the ruins of Daraa Camp, 80% of whose buildings were destroyed in the bloody warfare.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees has been grappling with abject conditions as a result of the fallouts wrought by the military operation launched by the Syrian government forces in mid-June 2018 using internationally-prohibited weapons in an attempt to recapture the area. 80% of civilian homes and property were destroyed.
