Over 1,450 displaced Palestinian families taking shelter in displacement camps set up in northern Syria have been struggling with squalid humanitarian conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

A refugee called Mohamed Adnan found no other way to feed his starved kids than to sell his shoes.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said one of his children weights one kilogram while the other weighs no more than two kilograms due to undernourishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohamed told AGPS that he sold his shoes to buy a box of milk worth 60 Turkish liras.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohamed appealed to the international human rights organizations and UNRWA to lend him a hand and help him secure much-needed items to his starved kids.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) sounded the alarm over the calamitous situation of Palestinian refugees taking shelter in displacement camps set up in northern Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n

This came in an oral statement delivered at a seminar with the independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic as part of the 46th session of the UNHRC in Geneva.<\/span><\/p>\n

PRC indicated that 1,450 Palestinian refugees are facing squalid conditions in northern Syria as a result of the unabated conflict.<\/span><\/p>\n

PRC’s speaker warned of the disastrous fallouts wrought by the river floods, snowstorms, and freezing temperatures that swamped the area over recent months.<\/span><\/p>\n

PRC’s speaker condemned the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for turning its back on the refugees’ cries for help on account that they are sheltered in hard-to-reach or inaccessible zones.<\/span><\/p>\n

PRC urged the UNHCR to take all necessary measures to protect Palestinian refugees and enhance their humanitarian condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
