Dozens of Syrian and Palestinian families staged a silent protest outside the main gate of Yarmouk Camp in Southern Damascus, demanding disclosure of the fate of their forcibly disappeared loved ones held in Syrian government prisons \u201d\u201d a powerful reminder of the enduring anguish faced by victims’ families after years of uncertainty.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Protesters displayed photographs of their missing relatives and held banners calling for “truth and justice,” rejecting any attempt to close the case of the forcibly disappeared without full accountability or revealing the victims’ fates.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Action Group for Palestinians of Syria, human rights organizations estimate that more than 100,000 people have been detained or gone missing in Syria since 2011, including approximately 6,500 Palestinians.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One protester, who lost her father in 2013, declared:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“We reject incomplete answers. We demand the whole truth: who killed them, and where they are buried.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yarmouk Camp \u201d\u201d once known as the “capital of Palestinian refugees” \u201d\u201d suffered widespread destruction during the conflict, forcing most of its residents to flee.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
