{"id":90415,"date":"2022-08-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/13389\/"},"modified":"2022-08-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T21:00:00","slug":"13389","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/13389","title":{"rendered":"France Provides Documents about Tadamon Massacre by Syrian Regime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">On Friday, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in a statement, revealed about documentations it obtained of possible crimes committed by Syrian government forces against the Syrian people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The documentations include videos and photos that prove the government forces&#8217; involvements in actions that \u201care likely to constitute the most serious international crimes, specifically crimes against humanity and war crimes.\u201d\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">They provide evidence of atrocities committed by \u201cpro-regime forces during the 2013 Tadamon massacre in Damascus,\u201daccording to the ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Tadamon is a neighborhood in the Syrian capital of Damascus, where the massacre took place at hands of soldiers of the Syrian government who executed 41 people by throwing them into a hole prepared in advance after shooting them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">And they, then, set the bodies of the victims on fire by burning tires that had been previously placed at the bottom of the pit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs stressed that the \u201cfight against impunity is a matter of justice for the victims and an essential prerequisite for building a lasting peace in Syria.\u201d\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The statement added, \u201cFrance remains fully mobilized to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.\u201d\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">In May, the Guardian Reporter Martin Chulov published a report, revealing leaked footage of the Tadamon massacre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">In the footage, a Syrian intelligence officer is seen shooting blindfolded, unarmed civilians and piling their bodies in a mass grave.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Chulov told North Press that the video had the capability to stoke interest in what is happening in Syria and to prompt the international community to hold al-Assad government accountable.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in a statement, revealed about documentations it obtained of possible crimes committed by Syrian government forces against the Syrian people.
