{"id":90774,"date":"2021-03-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-28T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/11361\/"},"modified":"2021-03-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-02-28T21:00:00","slug":"11361","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/11361","title":{"rendered":"Humanitarian Condition in Jaramana Camp Exacerbated by Power Installations Theft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">Residents of Jaramana Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rif Dimashq, said power installations have been stolen from the area, exacerbating the humanitarian condition endured by hundreds of Palestinian refugee families.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:20px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\">Over recent years, residents of Jaramana Camp have launched cries for help over the dire socio-economic conditions, high unemployment rates, poor infrastructure, steep rental fees, and chronic water crisis rocking the area.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:20px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\">Jaramana camp is 8km from Damascus on the road to Damascus<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">International Airport.\u00c2\u00a0 The camp was established in 1948.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">UN data indicates that before the start of the conflict in 2011, there<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">were over 18,000 Palestine refugees living in Jaramana camp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">During the Syrian crisis, the number of Palestine refugees in the<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">camp and the surrounding area increased to 49,000 due to an influx<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif; font-size:20px\">of displaced Palestine refugees from other areas, including the camp of Yarmouk.\u00c2\u00a0 As a result, Jaramana has become one of the most densely populated areas of Damascus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:20px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\">Like other areas in Syria, displacement, unemployment, inflation, protection and security risks are among the main concerns shared by Palestine refugees and Syrians alike.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Jaramana Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rif Dimashq, said power installations have been stolen from the area, exacerbating the humanitarian condition endured by hundreds of Palestinian refugee families.
