{"id":91668,"date":"2017-11-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-24T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/6199\/"},"modified":"2017-11-25T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-11-24T21:00:00","slug":"6199","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/6199","title":{"rendered":"More than 150 families return to Handarat camp in Aleppo, despite their destroyed houses"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Handarat camp for Palestinian refugees has seen the return of 150 families of its residents, despite the total and partial destruction of more than 90% of the camp.<\/div>\n<div>According to our correspondent, the families that returned were stranded and did not find themselves a shelter, especially after being forced to leave the ninth unit of the university housing in Aleppo, and after losing hope that UNRWA and the concerned parties will intervene to rehabilitate it.<\/div>\n<div>After a series of visits made by the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Red Cross, 5 water tanks were placed and distributed across the camp.<\/div>\n<div>Handarat camp&#8217;s residents had fled their homes on 27-04-2013, after the Syrian regime bombarded the camp because the armed Syrian opposition groups had taken control of it.<\/div>\n<div>Very rapidly, temporary houses were made for them in the university&#8217;s campus, while a number of them went to some rural villages including (Tell Qarah), (Al-Muslimiyah), (Tell Jabin), (Doer Al Zeitoun) and (Manbij).<\/div>\n<div>The Handarat or Ain Al-Tell camp for Palestinian refugees, is located in the north-east of Aleppo, on the road leading to Turkey, on a high, rocky surface and 13 km away from the downtown.<\/div>\n<div>The sources of the General Authority for Palestinian Arab refugees in Syria indicate that the population of Handarat camp is approximately 8,000 Palestinian refugees.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Handarat camp for Palestinian refugees has seen the return of 150 families of its residents, despite the total and partial destruction of more than 90% of the camp.
