{"id":94408,"date":"2022-05-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-12T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/13098\/"},"modified":"2022-05-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T21:00:00","slug":"13098","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/13098","title":{"rendered":"Palestinian-Syrian Writer Faysal AlHourani Passes Away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Palestinian writer and researcher Faisal Hourani passed away, on Thursday, in Geneva at the age of 83.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The Palestinian Authority paid a heartfelt tribute to the intellectual leader, stressing that Palestine lost one of its great thinkers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Through his writings and research, Hourani actively contributed to the national liberation struggle of the Palestinian people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The writer was born in 1930 in the village of Masmiya, near Gaza, before he moved with his family to Syria in 1948, where he pursued his education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">He issued many books and studies, including \u201cPalestinian political thought from 1964 to 1974\u201c, \u201cJoint Arab action, Israel: rejection &#038; acceptance\u201dand \u201cThe roots of Palestinian rejection\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Moreover, he wrote \u201cTrapped\u201din 1973, \u201cBear Shum\u201din 1979, and \u201cStingray\u201din 1984, in addition to his codification of his autobiography in five parts entitled \u201cPaths of Exile\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Palestinian writer and researcher Faisal Hourani passed away, on Thursday, in Geneva at the age of 83.
