{"id":95842,"date":"2019-02-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-17T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/8318\/"},"modified":"2019-02-18T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-02-17T21:00:00","slug":"8318","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/8318","title":{"rendered":"Rally Staged in Germany over Forced Deportation of Palestinian Family"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Some 100 German activists rallied in Passau city, protesting a decision by the Bavarian government to deport the Palestinian refugee from Syria Arafat Shreih, his wife Samah Daqaq, and their child from Germany to Latvia.<\/div>\n<div>The rally-goers voiced their anger over underway attempts to torn the family apart and urged the local authorities to backtrack on the refoulement decision.<\/div>\n<div>The Bavarian government in Germany issued a decision to deport the family to the eastern European country of Latvia, where they were first granted asylum, before they headed for Germany.<\/div>\n<div>The German authorities rebuffed the family&#8217;s appeals for a legal stay in the country, where they have lived for three years.<\/div>\n<div>The expectant wife and her husband, both formerly sheltered in AlNeirab Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Aleppo, were detained by the German police while their six-year old child was transferred to an orphanage.<\/div>\n<div>Activists said the wife was released from a detention center, pending her deportation. As soon as she showed up at the airport the police decided to delay her refoulement after medical checks diagnosed her with health disorders.<\/div>\n<div>The family fled AlNeirab Camp for Palestinian refugees in Aleppo, before they reached Greece.
