{"id":96417,"date":"2022-08-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-11T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/13385\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-08-11T21:00:00","slug":"13385","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/13385","title":{"rendered":"Residents of Yarmouk Camp Urge Syrian Authorities to Unlock Palestine Thoroughfare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Residents of Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees have called on local authorities to unblock the access road to Palestine Street in order to allow civilians and vehicles to smoothly enter and exit the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">After more than a decade of bloody conflict, families who have returned to Yarmouk Camp have been grappling with a dire humanitarian situation.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The absence of vital facilities, most notably healthcare services and access to education, along with the poor infrastructure and absence of means of transportation have made the situation unbearable in the camp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">At the same time, the residents continue to grapple with a chronic power blackout and exorbitant electricity bills. Mounds of rubble pile and uncleared garbage have made access out of and into the area quite a difficult task.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Before the crisis started in 2011, Yarmouk was a bustling home to almost 30 percent of the Palestine refugee population in Syria.
