{"id":96880,"date":"2021-06-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/11817\/"},"modified":"2021-06-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T21:00:00","slug":"11817","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/11817","title":{"rendered":"Solar Lighting Devices to Be Installed in Yarmouk Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Muhjat AlQuds Foundation, in cooperation with the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, has finalized preparations for an initiative aiming to rehabilitate lighting across Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees, south of Damascus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The drive will see solar energy panels installed across residential thoroughfares.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Displaced Palestinian families wishing to return to their homes in Yarmouk Camp continue to denounce the complicated red tape slapped by the Syrian authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Yarmouk camp, once home to 160,000 Palestine refugees, suffered devastating destruction because of intense fighting that decimated most of the camp&#8217;s buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Some 430 families who have returned to Yarmouk in the last few months say they had no option because they cannot afford to rent homes after several years of displacement. Their children go to the nearby al-Zahera schools in Damascus using buses provided by UNRWA.
