They live in extremely difficult conditions characterized by extreme poverty, lack of financial resources, and widespread unemployment<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span dir=\"LTR\">In Syria, the suffering of Palestinian refugees is exacerbated by the economic crises sweeping the region, and the continued displacement of hundreds of thousands of them. They live in extreme poverty and need, just like in Lebanon, having lost their financial resources, their food security has vanished, and unemployment has spread among them<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span dir=\"LTR\">The cash assistance provided by UNRWA is a lifeline for thousands of Palestinian families in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, enabling them to meet a significant portion of their basic needs. However, the scale of this assistance remains insufficient and does not meet the increasing demands<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><strong><span dir=\"LTR\">Accordingly, The Working Group demands UNRWA<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\">\u201d\u00a2\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <span dir=\"LTR\">Disbursing cash assistance urgently and ensuring it reaches all eligible recipients<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Increasing the amount of cash assistance to cover their basic needs and help them endure<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Expanding the scope of cash assistance beneficiaries to include all Palestinian refugees<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span dir=\"LTR\">Providing greater protection for Palestinians and ensuring their rights to receive humanitarian aid<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\"><span dir=\"LTR\">The Working Group emphasizes the necessity of concerted international and local efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian refugees in Syria and Lebanon.
