{"id":98298,"date":"2019-11-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/9367\/"},"modified":"2019-11-19T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T21:00:00","slug":"9367","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/9367","title":{"rendered":"Thousands of Migrants Facing Horrendous Conditions on Greek Island, Warns MSF"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced on Nov. 16 that a 9-month-old baby died in the Moria refugee camp in Greece.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe have confirmed today by the local hospital in #Lesbos that a 9-month-old baby has died some days ago from severe dehydration in #Moria camp #Greece,\u201dMSF said on Twitter.<\/div>\n<div>The medical charity group said children are dying in Greece due to horrific living conditions and a lack of adequate care.<\/div>\n<div>Nearly 15,000 people are trapped in Moria, among them, 5,000 minors, it said, as it urged Greece and the EU to take immediate action.<\/div>\n<div>At least 1,000 migrants have died this year in the Mediterranean Sea, UN data has indicated.<\/div>\n<div>The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said at least 15,000 victims lost their lives in the Mediterranean crossings since 2014.<\/div>\n<div>The Moria refugee camp on Lesbos, Greece, was designed for 3,000 people. There is currently over 13,000 people living there.<\/div>\n<div>Overpopulated refugee camps cause a shortage of resources, not least healthcare.
