High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, said it was too early to talk about a mass return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;We think that it&#8217;s premature to promote returns. Syria is still very insecure, there&#8217;s still a lot of war going on in Syria,&#8221; Filippo Grandi, the head of the UN refugee agency, said on Monday, after meeting with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Berlin.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;If some people decide, they make their own personal voluntary choice, we need to see how we can support them\u201d\u009d, added Grandi. \u201cBut I think it&#8217;s premature to think of a mass repatriation program.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>Grandi added that the UN cannot secure a safe return of five million refugees scattered in neighboring countries.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.N.
