{"id":98685,"date":"2020-11-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-05T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/10888\/"},"modified":"2020-11-06T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-11-05T21:00:00","slug":"10888","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/10888","title":{"rendered":"Union of Palestinian Engineers Launch Volunteer Initiative to Reconstruct Yarmouk Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The Association of Palestinian Engineers in Syria has launched an initiative to help reconstruct Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Damascus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">In a statement, the Association said it has begun writing down names of engineers who have expressed their willingness to take part in volunteer drives seeking to rehabilitate buildings, vital facilities, and infrastructure in Yarmouk Camp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Palestinian families continue to call on the concerned authorities to allow them a safe return to their homes in Yarmouk Camp, in Damascus, and to press ahead with reconstruction projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Last year, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) published the results of an assessment of the damage to Syrian cities caused by seven years of relentless bombardment by the incumbent regime and its allies since 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The analysis found out that as many as 5,489 buildings were destroyed in Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees.
