{"id":98974,"date":"2022-02-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actionpal.ahmadalkhuleyf.net\/post\/12740\/"},"modified":"2022-02-03T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-02-02T21:00:00","slug":"12740","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actionpal.tech\/en\/post\/12740","title":{"rendered":"UNRWA Receives Vaccine Doses from China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">40,000 doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine were donated by the Government of China to the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">The doses arrived at UNRWA Syria yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">In a Tweet, UNRWA said \u201cthis timely support will contribute to the protection of Palestine refugees against COVID-19 complementing the Syrian national vaccination program.\u201d\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Over recent months, AGPS has warned of an unabated outbreak of COVID-19 in Palestinian refugee camps in Syria, where limited access to running water, pharmacies and medical facilities means displacement camps are more susceptible to the spread of the highly infectious virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">Displacement camps set up in northern Syria are especially vulnerable as most hospitals and medical facilities have been bombed, rendering them out of order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">AGPS stresses the need to supply Palestinian refugee camps with medicines, detergents, and disinfectants in order to help the displaced communities defend themselves against the deadly COVID-19 virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"background-color:transparent; color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman; font-size:14pt\">AGPS calls on the national and international humanitarian organizations and concerned authorities to set an emergency plan in order to help curtail the highly-contagious virus.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>40,000 doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine were donated by the Government of China to the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Syria.
