Shelling and several mortar shells targeted Al Thawra neighborhood in Al Wafedein camp, which is inhabited with a number of Palestinian families, and resulted in material damages.
The deteriorating security situation and shelling in the adjacent areas and towns of Al Wafedein camp, which is 20 kilometers away from the capital Damascus, reflected negatively on residents of the camp, who already suffer from poverty, high unemployment rate, and poor living conditions even before the events in Syria.
