A massive protest rally was held in Al-Hijaz Square in the center of the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Monday, with the participation of Syrian and Palestinian activists, to denounce the Israeli invasion of Syrian territory and express solidarity with prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons.
Participants raised banners emphasizing the unity of land and destiny, including “Quneitra will not be spoils for the occupiers” and “From Haifa to Jerusalem to the Golan Heights to Quneitra, the occupation is one, the occupation will fall.” These slogans reflected the widespread condemnation of the Israeli occupation and the affirmation of the people’s right to their lands.
This protest is part of a series of popular movements that highlight the suffering of Palestinians under the ongoing bombardment and reflect widespread solidarity with the issues of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons. The activists emphasized the importance of unity in confronting Israeli policies targeting Arab lands and peoples.
