In Cyprus, the members of Al Wafaa European campaign visited a number of parties and Parliaments in Cyprus, while the delegation, that included; Amien Abu Rashid, Hani Ibrahem, discussed, with the leadership of the Cypriot Popular party, and discussed the conditions of the Palestinian Syrian refugees who were displaced in Cyprus and the ways of ending their suffering as well as securing them a safe and stable life that commensurate the international standards for refugees status.
The delegation also expressed its hope to crystallize CY – Palestinians mobility with relevant international organizations to end the tragedy of three hundred stranded Palestinians as they seek a safe and dignified life away from the hell of the crisis in Syria.
For her part, the MP of the Cypriot Parliament and the leader in the popular Party “Skevi Kakuma” showed her solidarity with refugees, and stressed, on behalf of her party, on the need to find a solution to end their suffering through, parliamentary, party and popular urgent and effective mobility.
It is worth mentioning that the Cypriot authorities detained Al Wafaa European campaign on Monday 26th of January 2015 at Larnaka airport for 48 hours and prevented their entry to the Cypriot territories, but it allowed them later after the intervention of the Dutch authorities, for the fact that the head of the campaign “Amein Abu Rashid” is holding the Dutch nationality.
