Activists: Palestinian Authority Passport Increases the Chances for Palestinian-Syrians to Obtain Turkish Visa

Palestinian Activists in Lebanon Confirmed to the AGPS, that a number of Palestinian Syrian refugees obtained visas to Turkey, after getting a Palestinian Authority passport.
One of the Palestinian-Syrians – who requested anonymity for special reasons -referred that getting the Palestinian Authority Passport from the Palestinian embassy in Lebanon or Syria is almost impossible unless you have strong relations with the ambassadors or PLO officials, while in Egypt or Turkey others were able to get it easily after paying the fees.
Muhammad, who is a Palestinian-Syrian activist in Turkey came from Lebanon, was able to obtain entry visa to Turkey after issuing a Palestinian Authority passport earlier from the Palestinian embassy in Egypt, stressing that this passport is the only way available for the Palestinian-Syrians to arrive Turkey.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish authorities had suspended granting visas to the Palestinian-Syrians for more than two years without giving obvious reasons, which forced hundreds of them to follow smugglers via land routes to enter Turkey despite the Dangers.
Activists demanded the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian factions, which have good relations with the Turkish authorities to solve those problems with the Turkish officials, demanding that “Palestinian-Syrians”to be treated as a war refugees and allow them to enter the Turkish territory.
