Palestinians of Syria Sit-in in front of the UNRWA office in Burj el-Barajneh Camp

In Lebanon, dozens of Palestinian Syrian and Lebanese families carried out sit in front of the UNRWA Director’s Office in Burj el-Barajneh camp in Beirut.
The protestors expressed their rejection of the recent decisions taken by UNRWA relating to the reduction of services and evasion of tasks and responsibilities toward Palestinian refugees.
Within the sit-in, protestors demanded UNRWA to back down its recent decisions and to shoulder responsibilities towards the Palestinians in general and the Palestinians of Syria in particular.
Meanwhile, they stressed that “UNRWA is primarily responsible for Relief and Work for Palestinian refugees, and improve their humanitarian and human rights situation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, residents submitted a memorandum confirms to hold on to UNRWA and demanding it to back down reducing its services because of the serious and significant risks to the Palestinian refugees.
