Releasing the First Batch of Palestinian Detainees at Karmouz Prison in Egypt after the Approval of Germany to Receive them

A After the approval of the German authorities to receive them, Egyptian authorities began the deportation of Palestinian refugees in Karmouz prison who were detained 8 months ago.
The first batch was launched today afternoon, while the other group waited in the waiting hall at Burj Al Arab International Airport until the plane took off date. The number of deportees to Germany is 42 including women and children; two released groups are to leave to both Sweden and France.
The Egyptian authorities had arrested “56” Palestinian refugees from Syria while trying to reach Italy from Turkish beaches, as they were victims to a scam set up by smugglers who left them on one of the islands off the Egyptian beaches,
Palestinian and Syrian refugees went on an open hunger strike during their detention in Karmouz prison in Alexandria until their demands are achieved, while the Egyptian authorities have been criticized by many human rights institutions and humanitarian bodies in order to release them.
