Shelling Targets Khan Al Shieh Camp, and Clashes at the Vicinity of Khan Dannon Camp

Heavy artillery shelling targeted the vicinity of Al Huda Mosque, the main road, the vicinity of Al Salam hospital, and the Eastern lane in Khan Al Shieh camp in Damascus suburb yesterday, causing significant damage to buildings and property.
It is worth mentioning that the camp and its surroundings are being subjected to shelling repeatedly, which increased in the past few days, coinciding with continuation of the regular army closure of all roads linking between the camp and the center of the capital, Damascus except “Zakya – Khan Al Shieh.”
Meanwhile, sporadic clashes broke out at Khan Dannon camp in the adjacent town of Tiba, between the Syrian armed opposition groups and the Syrian regular army.
However, residents of the camp live in a state of calm, and suffer from difficult living conditions, especially with the spread of unemployment and the high rents of houses.
