Syria – Action Group
Palestinian athlete Mohammad Adnan Yousef, born in 2000 and originally from the Jaramana refugee camp, won first place in the Muay Thai – Kickboxing – Mixed Martial Arts category at the Syrian Republic Championship.
Mohammad Yousef, whose family originates from the village of Al-Dawara in Safad District, Palestine, began practicing Muay Thai in 2021. Since then, he has continued his intensive training and participated in several championships across the Syrian Arab Republic in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, achieving outstanding results, including first place in 2023 and second place in 2024.
For his part, Mohammad said in a statement to the Action Group: “I dedicate this achievement and victory to my Palestinian people wherever they are, and I hope to have the opportunity to represent my country, Palestine, in all international sporting events and raise its name high on the podiums.”
In a related context, many Palestinian athletes have achieved first place in several sports such as bodybuilding, running, and martial arts, both inside and outside Syria, despite the difficult circumstances they face.
