Anatolia Turkish agency quoted reports that the Turkish Coast Guard teams rescued dozens of Syrians from drowning, on Wednesday, in the Aegean Sea, while they were trying to reach Greece.
The Agency correspondent reported that the Coast Guard received a distress call that a tourist boat raises the American flag, was in the verge of drowning as a result of overloading.
The Coast Guard rescued a boat carrying 45 migrants, while it drowned off the coast of ÇeÅŸme town of Izmir State western Turkey; 43 were rescued, a body was recovered, and the search is still continuing.
Turkey is one of the most important transit points for refugees towards the gates of European countries, where thousands of Palestinian and Syrian refugees went through Turkey, and most of them went through land as it costs them cheap prices.
