Overnight on Saturday, reports emerged on the intent of the government troops to creep into southern Damascus, mostly into areas led by the opposition.
Activists spoke out against the state of unrest sparked by such rumors which they said might be used as pretexts for mass deportation, as was the case with Yarmouk residents.
