Action Group | Aleppo

Tensions escalated between residents of the Neirab Palestinian refugee camp and the village of Neirab, following an assault on three individuals from the camp inside the village’s vegetable market.

According to local sources, a number of young men from the village of Neirab assaulted Abu Yazan Shureih, his son Yazan Shureih, and worker Mohammed Masoud while they were in the market. When a complaint was filed with the General Security at the Neirab police station, the relevant authorities refused to intervene, which led to an escalation of tension between the two sides.

In light of these developments, the camp committee held a meeting to discuss the repercussions of the incident, amid ongoing efforts and contacts with the Neirab village committee in an attempt to reach a solution that would ease the tension and maintain stability in the region.
