In the context of protests escalation against the UNRWA’s decisions that stated to cut financial aid to Palestinian refugees, dozens of displaced Palestinian Syrian refugee in Lebanon carried out several sit-ins.
 The sit-ins was implemented in the camps of AL Burj Al Shamali, Al Rashedia, Al Bass, and Bidawi in Tyre city southern Lebanon and Tripoli in northern Lebanon in front of the UNRWA office. The protestors denounced the recent decisions taken by UNRWA which stated to cut off shelter allowance, demanding the Palestinian factions, the PLO, and the human rights organizations to take immediate action to put pressure on UNRWA in order to stop these decisions.
It was mentioned that at the end of the sit-in, Palestinians of Syria and civil and popular Palestinian committees delivered a protest note to the director of UNRWA demanded UNRWA to reconsider its decision, which will have negative repercussions on the living and humanitarian conditions of Palestinian refugees displaced from Syria to Lebanon.
