The Turkish Cost Guards Rescue and Arrest more than 536 Immigrants during the Past Three Days

Anatolia Agency reported that the Turkish Coast Guards stopped over the past 72 hours 536 illegal immigrants, mostly from Syria were on board the ships to take them to Greece and Italy, as 52 refugees from Syria and Afghanistan were rescued in the Aegean Sea which separates Turkey from Greece.
In details, the agency said that the Coast Guard rescued 52 migrants from Syria and Afghanistan were stuck at sea after their rubber boat sank in the Aegean Sea, and arrested 112 immigrants from Syria who were aboard rubber boats in an attempt to go to the Greek islands, illegally.
Moreover, Coast Guards arrested 164 illegal immigrants off Averjak coastal line, Jendaq Castel State, West of Turkey, while they were trying to head to Medlly, the Greek Island.
The agency added that Coast Guards also detained a ship, sheltering 260 refugees from Syria off Manafghat shores, Antala State, south of the country Wednesday evening. They were attempting to illegally enter Italy.
The agency noted that three boats for Coast Guards forced the ship to dock after it had refused to respond to their warning.
It is noteworthy that Turkey is considered one of the most ports of illegal immigration towards the European countries, while thousands of Palestinian and Syrian refugees went through it towards Greece and Italy.
