Tragic Conditions to the Palestinian and Syrian Detainees in Macedonia, Drunken Police, and Sexual Harassment.

The AGPS received a message from number of Palestinian and Syrian detainees inside Ghazi Baba camp in Macedonia, which described their suffering inside this camp that is similar to a prison.
The detainees confirmed, in their message, that there are number of Syrians, Palestinians, Iraqis, and Afghans inside the prison, and they are suffering of dire situations. There is no room for sleeping for everyone; they are 27 in a room that contains only10 people, while a number of them are sleeping in the corridors, near the garbage containers, or near bathrooms.  
The message indicated that the police do not provide them any services, they are drunk most of the time; drink wine, they only came to turn off lights, get back to their offices, and call some of the detained ladies to the investigation individual room and sexually harassed her.
In addition, there are families have young children aged between days to months, while the police beats the detainees, and calls them criminals, killers, and terrorists.
The residents stressed in their message that there no hygiene services, no doors for bathrooms, no hot water for showering, no boilers, while the prison administration prevents them of having food and clothes, as some of them are detained for more than five months. Food only includes one loaf of bread, a can of ton or sardines for each person, as well as the water is contaminated and they have to buy water and food with high prices.  
Moreover, there are a lot of patients some of them are suffering asthma, hypertension, diabetes,  and one of the detainees has functional loss of one of the testicles, one of the detainees was shot on his hand and hit his hand which cause gangrene and was amputated.
As well as, they are not allowed to go out to breathe only women, children, or anyone who forced to take the garbage out and return immediately.  All detainees do not know the reason of their detention neither when they will be transferred to the court.
A lot of people are banned to connect with their relatives in order to tell them about their presence in this prison even in the presence of the police.
Stressing that they are not criminals and thieves, not terrorists, they are only illegal immigrants escaped from the conditions of war in their country in search of a better life.”
They also renewed their appeals to human rights organizations, international organizations, ICRC, and Palestinian embassies, which is the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, to do their part and put an end to their suffering.
It is worth mentioning that the AGPS published during the past months, dozens of appeals by detainees in Macedonian prisons which calling for their release and for putting an end to their tragedy.
